Welcome to the wonderful world of RADIO!
Media representatives sell commercial time on behalf of local radio and television stations, as well as cable systems, to advertisers outside of the local market.
If an advertiser in New York wants to run a spot in New York, for example, he would contact the station directly. If that same advertiser wanted to run a spot in Phoenix, however, he would have to contact a representative of that station in order to buy the air time he/she needs.
Generally, advertising agencies and specialty, media-buying shops are the ones purchasing spot time. Most TV and radio stations have a local staff to handle sales in their own markets, but need to be represented in order to deal with advertisiers from across the nation. Evershine Group, in business since 1998, has salespeople in 22 offices worldwide. With locations in all major advertising markets, Evershine is dedicated to serving our clients - from the smallest to the largest - and strategically set up to do so.
